Firstly the case is renecked, decapped and mouth expanded in the hardened and polished combination die. The decapping pins are made from hardened hi-tensile steel tempered for strength, while expanding plugs are hardened and ground from alloy steel for long life. After recapping and filling, the bullets are seated in a seating die having both internal bullet and case supporting diameters, machined in one operation to maintain concentricity.
